This course is targeted at ST1 to ST3 level, junior doctors, and registrar-level trainees in acute medicine, emergency medicine, and anesthesia.
Holding a current ALS (Advanced Life Support) or ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification is advisable, as cardiac arrest scenarios will not be covered. Some experience in acute or emergency medicine is also desirable.
Participants will develop a structured approach to assessing and managing acutely ill patients, learn how to order and interpret common investigations, and effectively communicate ongoing management plans.
No, cardiac arrest scenarios are not covered in this course. It is recommended that participants have ALS or ACLS training prior to attending.
