ENT Emergencies

Why is this course important?

This course will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage common ENT emergencies in the acute care setting. Students will learn how to identify and evaluate ENT emergencies, perform emergency interventions, and initiate appropriate referral and follow-up care.

• Understand the anatomy and physiology of the ear, nose, and throat.
• dentify common ENT emergencies, including their causes and clinical presentation.
• Perform emergency interventions for airway obstruction, epistaxis, and acute otitis media.
• Manage peritonsillar abscesses, acute pharyngitis, and tracheostomy emergencies.
• Develop proficiency in the use of ENT emergency equipment and medications.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers regarding ENT emergency care.
