Learning objectives for the course:

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES: To enable participants to find, appraise and apply evidence that is required for a critical approach to clinical practice.

By the end of the program participants will be able to:

• Produce focused clinical question
• Understand and perform basic search strategy to retrieve the relevant evidence
• Choose appropriate research designs to answer questions
• Understand the basic principles of randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews and & meta-analysis including the interpretation of results
• Understand the basic principles and critical appraisal, with practice
• Apply evidence to inform decision making
